INSURANCE 

 

It may seem odd to mention insurance at this stage, and although we will take every care to protect your goods in transit and storage, due to circumstances beyond our control, the unthinkable can sometimes happen, so we recommend to all of our customers that their treasured possessions be insured. The quotation you receive will explain in detail the insurance cover we offer under the heading “Insurance made simple” In addition to home moving insurance, transit and storage insurance, we also offer the following :

Insuring your possessions

In the vast majority of cases our removals run like clockwork, clients are quickly settled in and meeting their new neighbours. Although we do our utmost to ensure that your possessions are treated with care, accidents can happen.

With our insurance you can have complete peace of mind, knowing that in the unlikely event that anything should go wrong, your effects are fully covered by a comprehensive policy on which you can claim.

Whether you are moving 100 yards down the road or to the other side of the world, Bishop's Move customers can do so safe in the knowledge that their possessions will be in the most capable hands and in the unlikely event that a claim has to be made, it will be dealt with efficiently and professionally.

 is unique among removal companies in having installed tracking devices in all our vehicles, providing the ultimate deterrent to thieves, and enabling the location of our customers's belongings to be pinpointed.

The vast majority of removals companies have to rely on their own standard or extended liability insurance, against which they can make a claim should the worst happen. This insurance covers the removers and not the customer, so if something does go wrong, the customer may have to pursue a potentially costly and time intensive legal action against their removers in order to be compensated.

INSURANCE:
Davids Removals are fully insured by AXA Insurance PLC for all insurable contractual and public liabilities.
For local domestic flat and house moves where we provide a packing service we automatically include insurance for goods in transit for consignments of a value up to £10,000 free of charge.
We may agree to increase the level of insurance offered subject to payment of an appropriate surcharge dependant on your declaration of the value of your goods.
We have cover in place for goods in transit for high value consignments up to £60,000.
This amount can be increased upon consultation with the insurers.
If requested we can provide confirmation of the insurance cover that we have arranged.
Within our contract with you we agree to compensate you if your goods are lost or damaged whilst in our custody subject to our Terms and Conditions of Service.
We use a UK insurance company to insure us and to back up the promise of compensation that we make to you within our contract.
We will provide you with documentation setting out our contract with you.

Filing a Damage Claim

Our goal at Safe & Safe is to provide you with a simple, successful moving experience from beginning to end.  In the rare event that something is damaged during the move, we will work with you to repair or replace your item to your satisfaction.  Maintaining our good reputation and high percentage of happy customers is important to us.

Damage claims must be filed in writing within 7 days of delivery, along with any photographic evidence.

Safe & Safe provides the  insurance coverage to you at no charge.  If you require additional insurance, please contact us for our current rates. 

All claims will be processed according to the insurance company's guidelines. 

Exclusions:

Safe & Safe will not assume responsibility for damage due to improper packing by the owner.
